Thailand Bound!

T-minus one week and counting until I'm off on my much-anticipated two week trip to Thailand. While I will be quite busy while there, building houses with Habitat for Humanity's Global Village program, I do hope to have some time to track down a good tailor and have some clothing made.

If I'm successful, I'll definitely be spending a good amount of time on upcoming posts crowing about my great, new, cheap, well made clothing. And if not, well then I imagine I'll be spending a good amount of time on upcoming posts whining about my inabilty to get great, new, cheap, well made clothing!

I likely won't have time to blog while away, so stay tuned for an update when I get back into the US in a few weeks!

The Tupperware of Clothing

Yesterday, I attended a fashion show at my friend Alicia's, that can only be described as a Tupperware party for clothes- Cabi. This is the second such event that I've attended. Sizing for their clothes goes up to XL or 16 (depending on the item), and for the most part, are generously cut. I bought two items from the first show I went to, and actually bought an L in one of the tops.

Pricing can be a bit high (upwards of $60 for a top), but the quality seems to follow as well. I didn't find anything yesterday that really grabbed me-there were two beautiful, grey sweaters, but unfortunately, both had wool-which is too itchy for me. :(

Guess, I'll have to venture out to the mall today to get my retail therapy elsewhere!
